Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured suck opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

My first swim!

Today I swam with my new teacher friend, Becky.

1375 yards.

Here were her pointers for beginners:
Don't kick! Use your legs jsut enough to keep your body horizontal and use your arms! You still have a bike ride and run to do!
Work on your stroke. It makes the whole swim more efficient (she knows someone that can make it to the other end in 11 strokes... it takes me 25.)
You shouldn't be out of breath on your warm-ups.

It was a really good day :)
